In September I helped to organise and chair the asi International Publishing & Data Conference in Lisbon. Formerly known as PDRF and before that the Worldwide Readership Symposium, it has been running every two years since 1981.

asi has taken over the running of the event and this was our first, so marked something of a transition. This article summarises the main themes at the event and looks at how the publishing industry may evolve in the future..
