2015 Media Research Awards Winners Revealed

On 11th February at a gala lunch in London the winners of the inaugural UK Media Research Awards were announced. I chaired the judging committee and helped Mediatel with the shape of this first event. It seems we have a hit on our hands with over 170 attendees. Most likely this will be an annual event from now on. You can read all about the winners, the shortlist and judges comments here. Many thanks to my fellow judges – Laura Chaibi, Catherine Blizzard, Lynne Robinson, Brian Jacobs and David Pidgeon – for making my task so enjoyable.

The winners were:

  • Grand Prix winner: Sky Media and BDRC Continental
  • Best Social Media Project: BBC – Social Insights
  • Best Media Research Tracking Project: Sky Media and BDRC Continental – Sky AdSmart
  • Best Custom Media Project: MTM – Teen Attitudes Towards Violence Against Women: a study for Channel 4 and the Home Office, supported by CrowdDNA
  • Best Use of Data Sets: Kantar Media – TGI Ad-Vantage
  • Media Research Effectiveness Award: RAB Radio: The ROI Multiplier
  • Excellence in Data Communication: MEC – Digital Campaign Optimisation
  • Research Team of The Year: Thinkbox
