Here’s an article I wrote for the UK’s Mediatel Newsline. I write a monthly column for them and this reflects on the noticeable decline in the ratings for the top shows on Christmas Day 2015. The importance of Christmas TV has always been an anomaly compared to other countries and this article asks whether the fall in recent years is due to stale content, technology or societal changes.
