‘A Matter Of Fact’ – the report that I’ve been working on with ISBA and IPA over the last few months has now been published. It is a call to action to the industry to be sure to only use transparent and independently audited media data.  The ‘manifesto’ for accountable data was launched at an event in London on 1 June at which I presented alongside Phil Smith, Director General of ISBA (who represent UK advertisers) and Sarah Golding, President of IPA (who represent the agencies). You can watch a video of the launch presentation here:

You can download the report at the IPA site here. It centres around a five point plan. You can also download the presentation deck. As you will see it is based around the theme of adult colouring books and for any fellow graphics geeks reading I should credit the app called ‘Colorscape’ which turns photos into ‘colour by numbers’ outlines – I then simply had to touch the images up in Sketchbook Express.

The event and the release of the Call To Action gathered a lot of positive press coverage, which you can read here. As for it’s long term impact? Stay tuned.
