canaletto editOn 7th & 8th November this year I will be introducing and chairing the TV Research sessions at the ASI European Television Symposium in Venice.

I attended my first ASI back in Berlin in 2004 and since then I have found it to be the essential event of the year for TV research – with the added benefit of the Radio Symposium that happens the day before on the 6th. Having been a delegate and regular speaker at this annual event for nearly a decade now it’s a thrill to be chairing the sessions that will focus on television audience measurement (TAM).

The sessions will focus in particular on the challenges of measuring television as a cross-platform media and will include top level panels. The data users will outline just what is it they want from currency television measurement, and the major TV audience research players will debate their strategies for future development. Across the sessions we will have speakers and panelists from Sweden, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Romania, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United States.

You can download details of both the 2013 TV and Radio Symposia here. I hope to see you there, armed with many questions for our guest speakers!
